Pre-Algebra - Wednesday, March 13

We continued our discussions in Unit 14, graphing linear inequalities in the coordinate plane (T 14.3).

Pre-Algebra - Tuesday, March 12

We continued our discussion in Unit 14, solving systems of two linear equations by graphing the lines on the same coordinate plane and identifying the point where they intersect (T 14.2) .

Pre-Algebra - Monday, March 11

We spent the period tying up loose ends and beginning our discussion of Unit 14 - Solving Systems.  Today, we focused on T 14.1, graphing linear equations (lines) in the coordinate plane.  Students were allowed time to watch the lesson video and complete the guided notes in class.  They were also given time to work on the T 14.1 guided practice.

Monday, March 4 - We extended our discussion of T 13.6 to include real-world type applications that use the slope/intercept form for the equation of a line.

HW for WEDNESDAY - Complete the final page in the PINK packet that was distributed in class.  This assignment asks you to develop your own cab company an use a linear equation to model the fee structure for your company.

- We will complete Quiz 25 at the start of the hour.  We will then begin our discussion of T209, focusing on Perfect Square Trinomials.

Tuesday, March 5
- We will continue our discussion of T209, focusing on the Basic Form for the Equation of a Circle ... x^2 + y^2 = r^2

Wednesday, March 6
- We will continue our discussion of T209, focusing on the Standard Form for the Equation of a Circle ... (x - h)^2 + (y - k)^2 = r^2

Thursday, March 7
- We will complete our initial discussion of T209, focusing on the General Form for the Equation of a Circle ... ax^2 + by^2 + cx + dy + e = 0 ... and use the process of completing the square to convert this equation into standard/graphing form.
- We will also discuss the results of Quiz 25 and review for Friday's (March 8) assessment, Quiz 26.
